Brian McGlashan, B.A., LL.B.
Brian McGlashan, co-founder of McGlashan and Mackinnon was called to the Alberta Bar in 1995. Brian has appeared in all levels of Alberta Courts. Brian practices criminal law with a primary focus on impaired driving charges.

M. Robert Mackinnon, B. Sc., LL.B.
Malcolm Robert Mackinnon, co-founder of McGlashan and Mackinnon, was called to Alberta Bar in 1996. Robert obtained his Law Degree (LLB) from the University of Alberta. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree and Post Degree Practicum Degree (High School Teacher) from University of Victoria.
Robert has been and continues mostly to be a general practitioner. He practices in a broad range of the legal areas, including residential and commercial real estate, construction and real estate litigation, family law, corporate and commercial, civil litigation and wills and estates.
Robert, as a result of his teaching experience, has been an instructor for Alberta Real Estate Association since 2001, teaching in the areas of Contract Law, Agency Law, Title and Registration, Real Estate Law for Brokers, as well as other courses. He also teaches at Grant McEwan for the Mortgage Real Estate Law course.
Owen Kirkaldy, B.A., LL.B., LL.M.
Owen Kirkaldy was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2004, and successfully defended his Master’s Thesis, “Privacy and the New Panopticon: Lawful Access and the Race Between Law and Technology in the War on Terror” in August 2008 while carrying on a busy practice. Owen practices in the area of family law.

Peter J. Mawson, B.Sc., B.Comm., LL.B.
Peter is a born and raised Edmontonian. Peter was called to the bar in 2005 after obtaining his law degree at the University of Alberta. Peter settled on his favourite areas of law. These include real estate, wills & estates, litigation, and corporate commercial transactions. Peter enjoys helping his clients through their matters and coming to a resolution. Peter encourages his clients to understand all areas of their matter, including giving consideration to the cost benefit analysis when examining a potential course of action.
Peter is steadfastly dedicated to providing high quality and effective service to clients in an efficient and economical manner.
Vani Govindarajan, B.A., M.A., J.D.
Vani Govindarajan was called to the Alberta Bar in 2015 after receiving her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta in 2014. Vani carries on a general practice of law, mainly in the areas of family, wills and estates, and civil litigation.

Janelle Meakins graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2008. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2009. Janelle practices primarily in the area of wills and estates, corporate commercial law, real estate and civil litigation.
